Despite Opposition To President Trump’s Wall, The Southern Border Is Being Secured (From RealClearDefense)

June 16, 2017June 16, 2017Daniel Gouré, Ph.D.

The White House and Democrats in Congress continue to fight over the President’s plan to build a wall along the border with Mexico. A physical barrier is one way to secure the border, but not always the most cost-effective solution. Programs such as the Integrated Fixed Towers and Remote Video Surveillance System could form the backbone of a high-fidelity virtual wall along most of the southern border. I have written about the virtual border wall here.
