Reforming Education Funding To Reward Performance (from Forbes)

Most education budgets are based almost entirely on student attendance, not actual outcomes. Current taxpayer spending on K-12 public education — at 5.4 percent of GDP — is likely unsustainable at the system’s present levels of productivity.  A new Colorado law introduces a valuable new model for Performance Based Funding for education, as discussed in this article for Forbes.
