BAE Systems, Inc., as the unit is called, is one of the Pentagon&#8217;s top suppliers and a leading player in electronic warfare, digital networks, armored vehicles, intelligence collection, and high-end technical services such as cybersecurity. The General Dynamics group that DeMuro ran for ten years operated in similar markets, increasing revenues and returns 125% during his tenure. DeMuro is thus well-suited to heading the BAE business, and will need little on-the-job training from outgoing CEO Linda Hudson (whom he has known since 1999).
