Pentagon & Industry Show The Value Of Performance-Based Logistics

For more than twenty years, defense acquisition reformers have been pressing the Pentagon to make greater use of Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) in major sustainment contracts. Major U.S. aerospace companies such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin had demonstrated that, properly written, PBL-based contracts can improve sustainment activities while lowering costs to the government.  I have written a commentary on this topic for The National Interest here.
