Lexington Summer Intern: Max Boubin

June 23, 2017June 23, 2017Max Boubin

Hello,

My name is Max Boubin and I am very excited to intern at the Lexington Institute, located next to our nation’s capital. I am currently a student at East High School in Denver, Colorado.

As a member of the East Speech and Debate Team, I have refined my public speaking and writing skills by competing with other students in many varsity tournaments. Topics that I have debated include policy, congressional law, the Fourth Amendment, English influence on the U.S. Constitution and military funding. I am also an editor of the school paper, East Spotlight, and play on my school’s soccer team. In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, golf and tennis.

As an intern at the Lexington Institute this summer, my goal is to gain more knowledge about the economy and U.S. defense policy. I have attended various briefings on policy issues at the Capitol Hill Club and other venues to learn more about natural gas, ballistic missile defense and Russia’s actions on the international stage. I have also had the opportunity to visit many museums and historical sites, including the U.S. Capitol and the Newseum.

I would like to thank the Lexington Institute for letting me come aboard for the summer and learn about various issues while living in Washington D.C.

Sincerely,

Max Boubin
