USPS ‘Hopeful’ Freedom To Set Higher Mail Rates Will Increase Revenue (From Federal News Network)

Lexington’s Paul Steidler was quoted by Federal News Network in a story about the Postal Regulatory Commission’s decision to issue new rules that will enable the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to significantly raise prices.

Steidler advised that the USPS Board of Governors should consider holding off on raising rates to the maximum extent possible under the new price cap, as recent operational changes have caused a major decline in on-time delivery. “It may just be that the tipping point for a number of mailers is what they perceive as an onerous price increase,” Steidler said.
