Mail Delays And Price Hikes Are Coming To USPS. Here’s Why. (From Vox)

Comments by Lexington’s Paul Steidler to CBS News about the slowdown in Postal Service mail delivery were published on October 3rd by Vox. He described how the new policy “means mail delivery will be slower than in the 1970s.”

The slowdown will be “disastrous,” said Steidler, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities, and rural communities, all of whom rely on the mail for healthcare, financial transactions, and a lifeline for communications. “It’s the least fortunate who will be hurt hardest by this,” Steidler told CBS. “Everything in American society is getting faster, it seems, except for the mail delivery — which is now going to get slower.”
