Chinese Postal Subsidies Reflect Trade Imbalances (From Financial Times)

Lexington Institute’s Paul Steidler comments on Chinese postal subsidies in a letter published in the Financial Times.The upcoming Extraordinary Congress of the Universal Postal Union in Geneva will give Europe and the U.S. an opportunity to overhaul the current system which gives China substantial subsidies. “Further tolerating this clear and blatantly unfair system will simply embolden China to be more obstructionist on other reasonable trade reforms,” said Steidler.
