Aerojet Concentrates Solid Rocket Motor Work At Camden, Arkansas In Bid To Bolster Competitive Positioning (From Forbes)

July 27, 2020Loren B. Thompson, Ph.D

Aerojet Rocketdyne has shifted production of large solid rocket motors to Camden, Arkansas from its heritage headquarters site in Sacramento, California. Aerojet has also built new facilities at Camden to support missile defense interceptors, making the small (population: 11,000) city one of the largest rocket and missile propulsion complexes in the world. I have written a piece for Forbes here explaining why the company has consolidated so many of its product lines in Arkansas.
